 
To create my signature pieces, I call upon Renaissance Europe and the colors of haute couture. This blending of ancient and contemporary inspire me to produce these marvelous old-world paintings brilliant in their own right, yet ultimately framed with the most exquisite moulding to accent each work of art.
Each piece is painted on canvas in the natural colors of the earth is a depiction of my affinity for nature. And each heirloom-quality piece tells a story of another time and place. My work speaks of Tuscany 's subdued colors and the mysteries of the Far East ; of old Caribbean islands and the evocative luminosity of a Provencal sunset. They perfectly honor the four seasons, reflecting the texture and shadows of our lives.
As with all things of significance, excellence does not come easy. My dedication to old-world artisanship is demanding but essential. I revere its virtuosity and all that it entails - the laborious hand-work, the multiple glazing techniques and the architectural and artistic adherence to the authenticity of an era and locale that each piece represents.I love creating these works.
The process of painting on canvas enables me to recreate the countenance of an ancient fresco. I employ multiple hand-layered painting techniques to build the background, and, once completed, sketch my design directly onto the surface. Then comes the painstaking and labor intensive application of paints to create colors and textures intrinsic to the piece. In the end, I look for total unity in design, coordinating the color of the frame to the painting and accenting the each piece with pure gold or silver leaf.
