"Reflecting the beauty of God's creation" is the theme for this gallery section of the website!

Growing up in Michigan was such an awesome experience for a creative kid like me. Summers were spent in the woods by streams and lakes ~ that mineral smell that I didn't even realize was from all the iron ore in the dirt still comes back to me whenever I visit "up north" Tree climbing and fort constructing were just a couple of my favorite pastimes, but what I loved the most was studying flowers and leaves up close. The reverse side of flowers and ferns were just as interesting to me as the showy fronts!

Now that I live in Florida , it's such a great juxtaposition to study the flora and fauna here as compared to their northern cousins. I still love painting ferns, maple and oak leaves as you'll see in the Traditional gallery, but here in the Exclusive Tropical section, I can share with you a small bit of what I have discovered to be equally fascinating about God's creation in this part of the country.

I was already dabbling in tropically themed work and had designed an entire line of tropical wall-coverings for Nessen Showrooms when I was approached by Tommy Bahama stores to create artwork and mirrors for their stores nationwide. I was quite pleased to embark on this journey, and now you see here just a sampling of my ever growing line of exotic palms, pineapples, orchids, and the like. These originals, which are in my signature old-world style, have become favorites, especially among clients desiring a splash of relaxed grandeur that encompasses the " Florida look." Enjoy!
